Voila, Mari! You’re not only a fantastic colorist but also a fabulous humorist. You have tapped into that wellspring of life-affirming gratitude through love. It all dances and sings as you do all the time. Dear friend there is no end. Much love.
You are too much!! Want you to dance and sing much more with me!
The show must go on!

When I look at your body of work, there’s one theme that I find over and over…your work is a window to your beautiful, vibrant, and whimsical soul.
I am not an art critic, but to me your paintings don’t seem to be technically complicated, but they show a deep understanding of life on this Earth and beyond. The prevalent moon and other celestial representations in your work are perfect examples of how far your mind travels.
When I look at your paintings, I feel happy and connected to the world.
And my art connects me to wonderful viewers like you!

The raw emotion, sarcasm, and often blunt nature that exudes from your paintings are just manifestations of the complexities that make up you. I have enjoyed seeing the growth in your work, which displays your vulnerability yet unabashed and unapologetic expression of how you see the world.
I’m in love with the works in Red & Gold and what I interpret as the meaning behind the vagina balloons. You told me I’d be in for a surprise and you did not disappoint!
You get me, doc! Happy to know you like the red and gold series and find the balloons
interesting. Wanted to provide a light note.

sailing through life! sometimes a few rocks. Mari is always kind, generous and loving.
this comes through in each period of her work. Some are familiar, but to see them
all in this gallery for the first time is a privilege and great pleasure, especially the
recollection of Abbass. Keep painting!!

All my life I have obsessed with understanding the fine line which
separates our being in substance and the intangible that follows. Artists, in all areas
writing, performing or creating through sketch or paint, are seeking the same through
expressions. Mari has taken this search to a new level. Her expressions are not only pleasing to the eye, but serve to enlighten one’s imagination, and bridge reality to what
we refer to as the “Unknown”.
Will try to keep it interesting for you in future.

Mari has been a muse and an inspiration in my life. She embodies true freedom and limitless joyful expression. Her art is a visual journey that will take you up in a magic carpet ride to experience the complexities as well as the simplicities of a life spent in the pursuit of all of the colors of life. She is forever modern ,soulful and seeking the next journey. Look for these attributes in her art and you will uncover the treasure trove that is Mari.

What can I say? You are my friend-sister and I am pleased to know your favorites!

Mari’s heart is full of life! The flow from period to period is fascinating to look at: to see the range and subject matter evolve: 2002-early experimentation, traditionally reflective flowers and landscapes. 2010- loosing up wild imagination playfulness, more abstract, geometric forms & new colors. 2014-More abstract, colors, shapes & circles ( Perhaps my favorite period). 2016-2018- darker. many circles or moons or embryos?. Latest- Some new techniques and experimentation, cutouts, vaginas (self portrait?) and red & gold, change of focus. This is art. My critique is: some of the work is as good as you might see in a… Read more »

I love the new works! The vagina paintings are particularly surprising and beautiful. That being said, it’s wonderful to go backwards or forwards in the gallery and see how Mari has evolved over the many years she’s been painting. It’s a joyful experience to visit this gallery.
I am so pleased that my work brings you joy. It is the best reason for me to continue!
